A collaboration with Song-Ming Ang, Dusk to Dawn Choruses is an on going research into the various forms and definitions of the chorus, through workshops and public performances with different groups of singers. From the ancient Greek chorus to modern telecommunications companies, and from morning birdsongs to the humming of Chorus Motors, the project is a musical journey into what a chorus could be. The developing program features a range of experiments based on instructional scores and compositions in which the voice occupies a central place.

Performers-singers so far include: Jan Adriaans, Milou Van Ham, Michiel Huijben, Cora Schmeiser and Kathrin Wolkowicz (performance at Het Wilde Weten, Rotterdam, 2017); Chan Xing Yun, Chee En Cui, Joanna Cheng, Jonathan Cheng, Bella Dai, Karen Guan, Dionne Lim, Esther Lim, Pan Shuai Nan, Jayakumar Sandhya Pillai, and Daryl Bradley Tan (performance at ADM Gallery, Singapore, 2018). Dusk to Dawn Choruses est un projet collaboratif avec Song-Ming Ang, qui explore les multiples formes et définitions du Chorus, ou chœur, par le biais de workshops et de performances publiques. De l’ancien chorus grec aux entreprises de télécommunications d’aujourd’hui et des chants d’oiseaux à l’aube aux vrombissements de Chorus Motors, le projet est un voyage musical au sein des significations même du Chorus. Le programme propose un registre grandissant d’expérimentations musicales basées sur des sets d’instructions et des compositions au sein desquels la voix humaine occupe une place centrale.
